I have been drawing characters for as long as I can remember and have always dreamed of illustrating for a living. The first big influence on me was the work of Hayao Miyazaki who directed animated films such as "Laputa" and "Nausicaa of the valley of the wind". The imaginative characters and worlds created in these films still have the same appeal for me now.
The works of Lane Smith and other children's book illustrators have been benchmarks for me to aspire to. Since graduating with a BA (Hons) in illustration I have been fortunate enough to live my dream of designing for a living.
